Monero Research Lab — September 16, 2026
The author of MoneroVis presented a tool for exploring transaction and ring data. He said it introduced no new tracing method. Participants questioned how to interpret its clues and stressed that a visual link is not proof of a real spend. They also warned that looking up personal transactions on someone else’s server can reveal those queries to its operator.
Hot/cold wallet integration had merged into the FCMP++ development work. Developers were preparing beta v3 and the remaining upstream reviews. Multisig was identified as another major task.
The meeting gave conditional approval to a second circuit review after comparing audit bids. The scope discussion favored including proof generation while leaving multisig out of that review. Code completion and merging, rather than the proposed audit schedule, were described as the main constraints on progress.
