BasicSwap 0.19.1, released on October 27, 2026, repairs the Max button for Monero bids. The previous calculation could allocate the available balance without leaving enough for the transaction fee, causing the bid to fail. The new calculation accounts for the wallet’s available inputs and their fees, with a limit of 100 inputs. It also retries certain wallet funding failures and corrects the confirmation count displayed for Monero and Wownero swaps.
BasicSwap’s explanation of the max-bid fix
Swap timing and Electrum verification
The release adds checks that leave enough time for the second coin to confirm before a swap’s refund deadline. Late bid accepts are rejected, and key swap transactions are rebroadcast until confirmation. An unsynchronized Monero chain now causes a wait for synchronization instead of a missing-lock report.
For Electrum wallets, heights, confirmation depths and transaction proofs are checked against a synchronized header chain. These changes apply to the supported Electrum coins. They do not turn a Monero remote wallet into an Electrum wallet.

BasicSwap upgrade steps to check
Back up the data directory before updating. The first start upgrades the database to version 42. The release also moves the managed Monero core to 0.18.5.4.
New Bitcoin installations use Core 31.1. Existing installations with legacy wallets stay on 29.4 until the operator chooses migration, because Core 30 and later cannot load those wallets. Follow the project’s instructions for your installation type before changing the Bitcoin core.
Keep the web interface on loopback. Access to BasicSwap’s interface or API can control its wallets, including withdrawals. The project recommends an SSH tunnel when accessing an installation on another machine.
